Three injured in Beltrami County crash

An accident in Beltrami County sent three people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

An accident in Beltrami County sent three people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Evelyn Halverson, 17, Bemidji, was one of those injured. The other two were her passengers, though the patrol did not release their names.

The crash happened about 2:15 p.m. as Brenda Baker, 45, Laporte, Minn., was northbound on Highway 197 in a 2000 Cadillac Deville. Halverson was southbound on 197 in a 2000 Buick Century.

Halverson attempted to turn left onto County Road 404 and pulled in front of Baker, causing the accident.
