GRAND FORKS - Three people from California were arrested early Thursday afternoon in connection with a local home burglary, according to Grand Forks Police.
A homeowner called police to report he had surprised another man who had broken a window at his home at 1332 S. 40th St.. The suspect fled in a vehicle with two other people, and they were stopped a short time later at the intersection of Gateway Drive and North 43rd Street.
Arrested were Bang Duong, 21, Carson, Calif. Duong was arrested for criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Duong also was cited for open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and expired registration.
Benny Nguyen, 18, Gardena, Calif., was arrested for criminal attempt to commit burglary and criminal mischief.
Phuong Nguyen, 19, Irvine, Calif., was arrested for conspiracy to commit burglary.

The three men were taken to the Grand Forks Correctional Center.
