The Nelson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a rash of early morning motor vehicle break-ins Monday in McVille, N.D.

Thirteen victims have been identified and more are anticipated.

Many of the vehicles were parked in unattached garages within a few blocks of each other, Nelson County Sheriff Kelly Janke said in a news release.

Items taken from the vehicles include GPS systems, computers and binoculars. Some victims reported nothing taken but were able to determine someone had entered the vehicle.

Sheriff Janke requests anyone who believes their vehicle was broken into should report it, even if no theft occurred, because the information may lead to an arrest and conviction.
