Police say a thief got away with some booze Wednesday morning after breaking into a Grand Forks liquor store.
Responding shortly after 5 a.m. to an alarm at Campus Liquors at 4220 Fifth Ave. N., officers found the glass broken out of the front doors on the north side of the store. It appears the thief used a blunt instrument to smash the glass, according to a department news release.
The only thing that appeared to be missing was a small amount of liquor, police said.
The thief, who appeared on the store's security cameras, is described as a white man, from 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing black pants and a gray sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.
Police ask that anyone with information about the burglary call (701) 787-8000.
