'Annie Get Your Gun'

-- Opening Thursday: The musical "Annie Get Your Gun" will open Thursday at Northland College Theatre in Thief River Falls, presented by Thief River Falls Summer Theatre. Heritage Music Festival

-- Saturday in East Grand Forks: The first-ever Heritage Music Festival, an event organizers hope to sponsor each year, will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the East Grand Forks Heritage Village with music all day followed by a dance. There will be art activities and a Maypole (if it's not too windy). Admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for children, $25 for families and free after 6 p.m. The event will feature bluegrass, traditional and Southern old-time music.

Fargo Farmers Market

-- Thursdays at Plains Art Museum: Plains Art Museum, downtown Fargo, will host Plain Food Farmers Market from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Oct. 1 in front of the museum. The market will offer produce, flowers, artisanal foods and other items in a setting with a friendly, fun street vibe, a news release said. It will emphasize healthy, locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs. The museum is open until 8 p.m. and admission will be free on market nights.
