Evening of the Arts
n UND performances: The UND College of Arts & Sciences will celebrate Homecoming tonight with an Evening of the Arts from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in the Empire Arts Center, Grand Forks. There will be an art show with works by faculty and staff, and performances by the Steel Pan Band, violinist Alejandra Drago, The 12 O'Clock Jazz Ensemble and the Varsity Bards. Admission: Free; with hors d'oeuvres and cash bar.

n "Tenor" continues: The Greater Grand Forks Community Theater production of "Lend Me A Tenor" continues at 7:30 tonight and Saturday night and 2 p.m. Sunday, with final shows at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23-24. Cast: Dylan Croeker, Paige Greenwood, Benjamin Klipfel, Amy Lyste, Michelle McCulley, Margaret McDonald, Jesse Mullins, Heath Stevenson. Director: Chris Berg. Audience: The production contains a "lack of clothing" in some scenes and is recommended for mature audiences. UND Homecoming

n Parade and more: It's Homecoming week at UND, and Saturday's activities will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Homecoming Parade, which will traverse University Avenue from UND's Chester Fritz Auditorium to University Park. Tailgating will begin in the Alerus Center parking lot at 11 a.m., and the football game, UND vs. Western Washington, will begin at 1 p.m. in the Alerus Center. The Sioux-Per Gala and Auction fundraiser will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, with dinner and a live auction. Then, from 9:30 p.m. Saturday to 12:30 a.m. Sunday, the Johnny Holm Band will play in Ralph Engelstad Arena's Olympic Rink. Tickets: $10; public welcome.
Downtown GF/EGF
n Art & Wine Walk: Saturday will be the final Art & Wine Walk of the year in downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. The event, with 18 stops and many first-time-participant artists, will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Start at the Blue Moose, East Grand Forks, to purchase your map for $10, cash or check only.
Polka Fest
n Trail's End: The Auctioneers and the Cathy Erickson Band will play at a Polka Fest from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Trail's End Bar in Trail, Minn.
Bands
n Second Wind: The Second Wind Band will play a concert at 1:30 p.m. Monday for residents and guests in St. Anne's Guest Home, 523 N. 16th St., featuring marches, show tunes, spirituals and a hymn. Coffee and cookies will be served.
