A Grand Forks teen sustained minor injuries Tuesday afternoon when he attempted to grab his stolen skateboard and was reportedly briefly dragged by the apparent thief.
The Grand Forks Police Department was called to the scene, at 24th Avenue South and South 18th Street, just before 5 p.m. Tuesday for a reported robbery, according to a media release.
A 16-year-old male told police a man took his skateboard, and struck the teen when he tried to get it back. The juvenile said he tried to grab the skateboard back and was briefly dragged behind the man’s dark green car, sustaining what officers described as minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a thin black male estimated at about 19 or 20 years old.
