DEVILS LAKE - State school Superintendent Wayne Sanstead says he has been involved in preliminary talks about using some of the space at the North Dakota School for the Deaf for a Devils Lake Community Center.
Sandstead says the proposal would make use of campus facilities and benefit the community as well. He calls it a "strong move forward."
A Devils Lake committee is putting together a plan to lobby the Legislature next year. The lawmakers would have to approve any proposal to use state property.
