A Wahpeton, N.D., man charged in the death of a Doran, Minn., woman pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Wilkin County (Minn.) District Court to a charge of second-degree intentional murder.
Jeffrey Allen Silvernail, 44, remains in custody in lieu of $1.5 million bail without conditions, or $1 million bail with conditions.
He was arrested last week in connection with the death of Lori Roberts, 49, who was found dead in her apartment in Doran Oct. 2.
Silvernail was Roberts' live-in boyfriend until shortly before her death and was in the process of moving out of her residence the week Roberts was killed, according to an incident report released by authorities.
