WEST FARGO-West Fargo police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman here last week, according to a release from the Police Department.

The assault was reported about 5:45 p.m. Saturday at 1318 6th St. E. The victim told police that the man, who she knew by the name Christopher, had knocked her unconscious and raped her, the release stated. She told police that she and the man were friends.

When detectives spoke with the man, he told them his name was Christopher Peter, but authorities identified him as 21-year-old Missingi Christopher Paka.

Paka had an open warrant amounting to $50,000 out of New Mexico, but the release did not specify why he was wanted.

Paka was arrested Tuesday, three days after the assault was reported. Authorities are still investigating that incident, the release said.
