Authorities identified a Grand Forks man among three people arrested Wednesday night after a chase in Grand Forks.

Kenneth Chavez, 34, was wanted on warrants in Polk and Pembina counties, according to the Grand Forks Sheriff's Department.

The chase took place at about 8:45 p.m. on the south end of Grand Forks and ended after about five minutes near the intersection of Oak Street and Fifth Avenue South.

Earlier in the day deputies went a home in Emerado, N.D., where Chavez was reported to be, but he fled on foot.

He was later reported to be in a car in Grand Forks. A Border Patrol agent spotted it and the pursuit began. After a five-minute chase the car stopped.
