More than 7,700 North Dakotans who may qualify for an economic stimulus check have not filed a 2007 tax return yet, according to the Internal Revenue Service.
Taxpayers and nontraditional filers who received an extension to file have an Oct. 15 deadline to do so, a news release said.
"If you had at least $3,000 in annual income or benefits in 2007, check on whether you qualify for a stimulus payment," IRS spokeswoman Carrie Resch said in the release. If you do, file by Oct. 15 so you can receive your stimulus payment this year."
More than 39,700 nontraditional filers in North Dakota have already claimed their stimulus payment.
