The North Dakota Public Service Commission will hold public hearings in the Grand Forks area this week on a proposed crude oil pipeline.

The first hearing is at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Baker Courtroom at the UND School of Law, 215 Centennial Drive. The next will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Robert Fawcett Auditorium at Lake Region State College, 1801 College Drive N. in Devils Lake.

The hearings are focused on the Sandpiper Pipeline proposed by Enbridge. The 610-mile pipeline would carry crude oil from western North Dakota, under the Red River south of Grand Forks, to Superior, Wis.
