State Patrol identifies victim in Interstate 94 crash near Dalton, Minn.

DALTON, MINN. - An 18-year-old man from Eagle Lake, Minn., has died from injuries he suffered Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle while walking on Interstate 94 near Dalton, Minn.

DALTON, MINN. - An 18-year-old man from Eagle Lake, Minn., has died from injuries he suffered Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle while walking on Interstate 94 near Dalton, Minn.

The Minnesota State Patrol identified the victim as Dustin D. Lemke.

According to the State Patrol, Lemke was struck while walking on I-94 after the car he was riding in went into the ditch.

The vehicle that struck him was westbound and driven by Katy Steidl, 22, of Alexandria, Minn., according to the State Patrol.

Other individuals were injured in the incident, which ended up involving a number of vehicles, but none of their injuries were life threatening, according to the State Patrol.

Road conditions at the time were very icy, with light snow and adequate visibility being reported, according to the State Patrol.
