The Government Affairs Committee of the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce will host a public forum with candidates representing Grand Forks for District 17 and 43 House of Representatives and District 43 Senate. Comments from unopposed candidate Ray Holmberg, District 17 Senate, will also be heard.
Candidates for the North Dakota House of Representatives in District 17 are Mark Sanford, Edward Grossbauer and Mark Owens, and candidates for District 43 are Lois DelMore, Rich Becker, Kyle Thorson and Shelby Wood. Senate candidates for District 43 are Lonnie Laffen and JoNell Bakke.
The forum will be moderated by Government Affairs Committee Chairman Dane Ferguson.
The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Grand Forks City Council Chambers on Oct. 22.
