A six-vehicle crash caused a pileup and injured several people Friday night in Grand Forks.

Grand Forks Police responded at 6:11 p.m. to the 1400 block of 32nd Avenue South to a report of a crash, according to a news release.

Police determined a maroon 2009 Mitsubishi Gallant driven by Michael Sundeen was eastbound on 32nd Avenue. As he was approaching a stop light at South Washington Street, he struck a black Chevrolet Traverse driven by Jessica Foss, according to the release. A silver 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Dustin Berg then hit Sundeen's rear end.

When officers arrived at the scene, the front of the Gallant was resting against the back of the Traverse, while the car's rear tires were on top of the windshield of the Taurus.

The release did not include information regarding the other three cars involved in the crash.
