Sioux Falls teacher resigns after being accused of using shoe camera on women

SIOUX FALLS, SD -  A Sioux Falls teacher and soccer coach arrested for allegedly using a shoe camera has resigned..

Roosevelt High School social studies teacher and boys' soccer coach Dallas Wilkinson was arrested on Friday.  He's accused of using a shoe camera to take photos and video of women without their consent.

Superintendent Brian Maher told KELO-LAND TV of Sioux Falls that he wants parents and the community to know the district will not tolerate this kind of behavior. Maher added that he doesn't know how to predict this kind of behavior, but feels the district's actions have been appropriate.

"We will do our best to hire our best and brightest," Maher told the television station. "And luckily here in Sioux Falls, we can do that."

Maher said he was notified about Wilkinson arrest shortly before receiving a letter of resignation.
