The Nelson County Sheriff's Department is investigating a report that shots were fired into the Dahlen (N.D.) Cafe late Sunday or early Monday.
The sheriff's department received several calls at about 1:30 a.m. Monday that shots were being fired into the cafe, which also has an attached residence. A streetlight also was shot out. Witnesses reported seeing a person shoot directly into the building. The person was driving a passenger car, possibly dark blue or black.
The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been asked to assist in the investigation. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Nelson County Sheriff's Department at (701) 247-2474.[
