Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney said today he plans to run for a second term.
Laney was a Fargo Police lieutenant before unseating Don Rudnick, a seven-term incumbent, in 2006. He took over as sheriff Jan. 1, 2007.
He announced his plan to run for reelection in a news release sent this morning.
