FARGO - Police are looking for a sex offender who have moved without updating officials of his new address after leaving the Grand Forks County Correctional Center earlier this month.

Mario Alberto Rivera, 39, was living at 2545 14th St. S. #205 in Fargo before he was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation on Jan. 14, Lt. Pat Claus said in a news release.

Rivera bonded out of the Grand Forks County jail on Feb. 2. He listed an address in Pisek, N.D., but police say he wasn't living there after his release. Nor has he returned to his former Fargo residence, Claus said in the release.

Rivera had been assessed as a low risk to reoffend. He is required to register until 2025 for a 1995 conviction in Texas for burglary with the intent to commit sexual assault. His victim was an adult female.

Claus urged anyone with information on Rivera's location to contact police.
