A settlement has been reached in the civil case involving a 94-year-old Oberon, N.D., woman who was involved in an accident that injured two motorcycle drivers and killed a passenger.
An Oct. 4 letter from Faith Mitzel's attorney informed the Ramsey County Court an agreement had been reached between Mitzel and plaintiffs James Leidholt and Jason Hunter.
It won't become official until it's signed by a judge, which attorneys from both parties expect to happen soon.
Details of the settlement were not released.
The accident occurred on state Highway 57 near Fort Totten, N.D., on May 19, 2010.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol's investigation concluded that Mitzel crossed the center line and collided in a "sideswipe meeting" with the motorcyclists, who were traveling north.
Hunter and Leidholt were both seriously injured, and Leidholt's pregnant wife was killed in the accident.
Mitzel was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road and had her license suspended following the accident. Less than three months later, she was pulled over in Ramsey County and ticketed for driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
She faced up to 60 days in jail for those charges, but served no jail time.
