Seniors say good-bye for now

Nearly 700 high school seniors will be turning their tassels and tossing their mortarboards during graduation ceremonies this weekend in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.

Nearly 700 high school seniors will be turning their tassels and tossing their mortarboards during graduation ceremonies this weekend in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.

East Grand Forks High School Principal Brian Loer reported Monday that 130 seniors were scheduled to graduate on Friday at 7 p.m. at the East Grand Forks Civic Center.

Across the river on Sunday, Red River High School will bid farewell to 280 seniors at 1 p.m., while 228 seniors will receive their diplomas from Central High School at 4 p.m. Sunday. Both ceremonies will be at the Alerus Center.

Grand Forks' Community High School celebrated its graduation Thursday night, also at the Alerus Center.

Sacred Heart High School will send off the smallest batch of seniors, 23.
