VERONA, N.D. – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of the man killed in a semi rollover crash Thursday morning near Verona.

Sgt. Troy Hischer said Wade Flies, 35, of Ravenna, Neb., was killed when his semi drifted off Highway 1 at about 7:10 a.m. Thursday, about nine miles north of Verona in southeastern North Dakota.

The semi ran into the east ditch, rolling onto its roof and pinning Flies, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, inside.

He died of his injuries at the scene, Hischer said.
