While her husband, Vice President Mike Pence, will be speaking at Grand Forks Air Force Base on Wednesday afternoon, Larimore will be buzzing with the arrival of second lady Karen Pence.
Pence will be visiting Dietzler Honey Bee business in Larimore, N.D., on Wednesday afternoon. She will be meeting with business owner Conrad Dietzler, who manages over 4,000 hives, to learn more about his bee business.
Last year, the second lady installed a beehive on the grounds of the vice president's residence in Washington. Today, about 60,000 bees live in the hive, according to a press release. Last week, a beekeeper extracted honey from the beehive at the residence for the first time since the hive was installed.
The Larimore event is not open to the public.
