At a meeting Thursday, the State Board of Higher Education authorized UND to spend $2.7 million on building projects.

The funds will come from a combination of bond reserves, capital assets funding, money from within the university, grants, state appropriated repair funds and donations.

The projects include creating a “One Stop Shop” in the Memorial Union, renovating McCannel Hall to make room for the Women’s Center, renovating the labs in Harrington Hall and beginning construction on the Center for Family Medicine Skywalk Project in Bismarck.

The board also moved to cap UND’s renovation of the Wilkerson Hall dining area at $29 million.
