The Saturday edition of the Grand Forks Herald will arrive by mail on Friday this week, due to the federal Fourth of July holiday on Saturday.
"We don't want to wait the extra day for delivery, so this really is our best option to ensure readers get this weekend's print Herald," Publisher Korrie Wenzel said. "It might be a bit confusing, but we're hoping to get the word out so people can expect the Saturday Herald in their mailbox Friday and understand when it doesn't arrive Saturday."
Technically, the Herald will publish two separate editions on Friday -- the Saturday print edition and the Friday e-edition.
Saturday, the Herald's e-edition will mostly include the news found in the Saturday print edition that was mailed a day early, although it will be updated as breaking news occurs. Regular schedules will resume next week.
