The TNT Monster Steel Thunder Show, set to bring monster trucks and motocross to the fair Saturday night, has canceled its show at the Greater Grand Forks Fair & Exhibition, it was announced Friday.
The show's promoter cited low advance tickets sales as the reason for the cancellation, Fair Manager Trina Nelson said. The monster truck rides that were to be offered at the fair have been canceled, as well.
"We sincerely regret that we will not be able to bring a grandstand show to the fair Saturday night," Nelson said. "We are so proud of having grown the fair. We still have so many things to see and do, I hope people will come out and see those things."
The Demo Derby and Herbie Derby set for 2 p.m. Sunday in the grandstand will go on as planned.
