FARGO - The presidential race will be coming to North Dakota next week.
A spokesman for Republican hopeful Rick Santorum, a former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, said he will be in the state next week. Santorum mentioned the visit Friday in a live broadcast from the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., with local radio host Scott Hennen.
Santorum said he's never been to North Dakota, and he hoped to learn about the "magic" driving the state's strong economy.
"It's all about creating energy and creating the good-paying jobs that, you know, can make rural America work," he said.
His campaign said details about the visit will be released when finalized.
