MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Five new psychiatrists will join Sanford’s adult behavioral health department by September.
The new doctors will join 25 adult behavioral health psychiatry, psychology and therapy providers in a newly remodeled facility next to Concordia College in Moorhead.
“There’s a real need for these new doctors in the region,” said Sanford spokesman Darren Huber.
The doctors will work from Sanford’s outpatient adult behavioral health department at 1301 8th St. S. That building near Concordia College had been a clinic for more than 40 years. Sanford has recently opened a new Sanford Moorhead Campus along Interstate 94.

These adult mental health services were previously on the fourth floor of the Professional Building at 100 4th St. S., Fargo. Child and adolescent behavioral health services will remain on the fifth floor of that Fargo building.
