WILLISTON, N.D. - An undetermined amount of saltwater was released in Williams County, impacting nearby waters in Blacktail Creek, downstream from Blacktail Lake, the North Dakota Department of Health said.
Summit Midstream reported the release of produced water from a saltwater disposal line about 15 miles north of Williston.
An environmental contractor is on scene for cleanup and remediation. Personnel from the health department and the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division have responded.
