An employee reported the burglary at 4:32 a.m. at the Clark Station at 1014 Hobart St., saying items were missing and the place was ransacked.
Hawley Police Chief Ernest Rhodes said a safe and some computer equipment were taken from the store.
Police were still trying to determine how the burglar gained entry, Rhodes said. Police believe it happened between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m., and there are no suspects at this time, he said.
Rhodes declined to release additional details, including how much money was in the safe and whether the burglary was caught on surveillance video.
