South Dakota Republican Rep. Kristi Noem will give the keynote address at the North Dakota Republican Party's state endorsing convention in March.
Noem will speak to delegates Sat., March 31, at the Bismarck Civic Center. During the convention, which will be held March 30 to April 1, delegates also will vote to endorse the party's candidates for governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House and other offices.
Noem was first elected to Congress in 2010 and will "fire up" the party's delegates at the convention, GOP Chairman Stan Stein said in a written statement.
"In her short time in Congress she's already proven herself to not only have the right ideas for restoring our country's greatness, but the right attitude and hard working spirit to get it done," he wrote. "She is just the kind of person North Dakotas relate to."
