The Scandinavian Festival June 11-13 in Roseau, Minn., will kick off with a concert by a local group, the Reed River Chorale. It will be presented near the Roseau River and City Center.
A June 12 Variety Show featuring local musicians will start at 7 p.m. in Roseau School Theater, followed by coffee and Scandinavian treats. A dance featuring the Highway 11 Ramblers will be from 9 to 11 p.m. June 12 in the Four Seasons Center.
The Roseau Lions Club will serve a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. June 13 in the Four Seasons Center.
Artists, vendors, crafters and musicians will be on hand all day June 13 near the Roseau City Center. Robert Cooper, Detroit Lakes, Minn., will demonstrate how to make tin boxes and birch bark items. Balloon twisting, games and face painting will be on the agenda for children.
Scandinavian storytelling and a book signing by local author, Dean Hedlund, will be held in the Roseau City Library on June 13 with fresh lefse served all day in the Four Seasons Center. A car show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pioneer Farm and Village with a parade of cars down Main Street at 3:30 p.m.

A Scandinavian smorgasbord served by Maggie's Catering of Karlstad, Minn., will be from 4 to 6 p.m. June 13 in the City Center. An evening dance featuring the North Country Old Time Band will be at 8:30 p.m. in the Four Seasons Center.
