GRAND FORKS -- North Dakota's most valued resource is neither oil, coal nor farm products. Instead, the state's most valuable resource is the students in North Dakota's elementary and secondary schools. The state's future well-being depends on their receiving a quality education.
It is important then to have the state office that oversees K-12 education be administered by someone whose concerns are to provide the educational system that will best prepare each student according to that student's abilities and interests.
Max Laird as superintendent of public instruction has those concerns and will work tirelessly for North Dakota's students. Laird has years of experience as an educator and the management and people skills to best serve North Dakotans as state superintendent.
Drawing on my experience as a classroom instructor, school board member and business owner, I ask North Dakota voters to join me in voting for Laird.
