A collision with a beet truck early this morning in Polk County sent one person to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with non-life threatening injuries.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, a Jeep Cherokee was driving east on County Road 11 at about 3:30 a.m. when it drifted into the westbound lane and collided with the sugar beet truck. The driver of the truck was not injured. The driver of the Jeep was transported by ambulance to RiverView Hospital in Crookston and later transferred to Altru.

The names of the drivers were not released, and the accident remains under investigation.
