Red River Imaging accredited
Red River Imaging, Grand Forks, has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging as a result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology, Reston, Va.
The accreditation recognizes achievement of high practice standards.
NDPC donates to flood relief
North Dakota Petroleum Council members contributed nearly $80,000 to the American Red Cross for their North Dakota flood relief efforts, according to a release from the council.

Ron Ness, president of the council, said members also contributed more than $12,000 for the Northwood Tornado Relief effort in 2007.
CVB awards funding grants
Nine organizations planning future events were awarded grants from the special event funding program of the Greater Grand Forks Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Forks Area Sports Association. The organizers, events and the amounts granted were:
-- Northern Hockey Unlimited for the Ice Palace Cup Tournaments: $3,000
-- Greater Grand Forks Soccer Club for the 2009 Grand Cities Soccer Tournament: $1,250.
-- Crimson Creek Players for "Bat Boy" and "Hair": $5,000.
-- Sertoma for the Fourth of July Festival: $2,000 in advertising.
-- Red River Valley YMCA Wahoos for the 2009 Central Zone Swimming Championship Meet: $3,000.

-- Special Olympics of ND for the 2009 State Soccer & Bocce Tournament: $500.
-- Grand Forks Herald for the 2009 Jason Stadstad Hockey Classic: $500.
