MINOT -- Grand Forks Red River shot a second-round 341 to earn a third-place finish at the North Dakota state Class A high school girls golf tournament today at the Minot Country Club.
Red River senior Lexi Nord's two-day total of 159 was good for a sixth-place tie and all-state honors.
The balanced Riders also used scores from Callie Ronkowski (174), Emily Schultz (178) and Erin Ferry (179).
Ferry shot an 87 today, which was the third-best on the team.
Red River's second-day total of 341 gave it 688 strokes.

Behind a final-round 308, Minot ran away with the team title with 633 strokes. Fargo Shanley finished with 676. Dickinson finished two strokes behind Red River for fourth place.
Jamestown's Laura Kraft, who was seventh at the state meet last year, won the individual title with rounds of 71 and 74. Kraft's total of 145 was three strokes better than West Fargo's Krista Weiszhaar.
Grand Forks Central finished 11th with a total of 809.
Freshman Taylor Lund was the highlight of the Knights' state tournament. Lund shot two rounds of 89 to finish in a tie for 22nd.
