Although the local Red Cross is accepting donations for the Oklahoma disaster, it is not initiating calls to request donations.
Those who want to donate should contact the Red Cross directly by calling (800) RED CROSS or texting the word "redcross" to 90999 to make a $10 donation. The donations help provide food, shelter and emotional support to those affected by disasters.
