ST. PAUL -- Hundreds of people rallied Monday in favor of a bill to require tougher anti-bullying policies in Minnesota schools.

Many of those in the state Capitol rotunda also joined in pro-gay marriage rallies last year.

The bill would define bullying and require each school district to develop an anti-bullying policy.

School officials say they already have such policies and a new law is not needed. Conservatives fear that students could be affected if they express religious views.
