FARGO-City prosecutors here are mulling whether to file charges in connection with an altercation at a downtown bar that involved Jonathan Scott, one of the stars of the home renovation reality show "Property Brothers."
Fargo police confirmed in late April that the HGTV star called for police assistance about 1:55 a.m. April 24, claiming he was assaulted during an incident involving the staff of Dempsey's Public House, a bar at 226 Broadway.
A bouncer put a headlock on Scott, who was caught in the middle of an argument among other people, according to celebrity news outlet TMZ, which first reported the incident. TMZ reported that police are reviewing surveillance video of the incident.
The police investigation was completed and reports were sent to the city prosecutor's office May 3 for review, Fargo Deputy Police Chief Joe Anderson said Thursday, May 19.
City Attorney Erik Johnson said Thursday the review of the case is ongoing and declined to comment further.
