Garrison Keillor is returning to Bemidji.

The Sanford Center will host Keillor’s longstanding variety show “A Prairie Home Companion” on Nov. 7. 

Doors will open at 4 p.m. and the show starting at 4:45 p.m. Keillor has been host and writer of “A Prairie Home Companion” since the program started in 1974.

Along with Keillor, the show will bring the Royal Academy of Radio Actors to perform sketches and the event will also feature live music.

Keillor, a public radio personality with 4 million weekly listeners, is no stranger to Bemidji.

The performer has staged events in the First City on the Mississippi several times in the past 15 years with shows at the Bemidji Chief Theater in 2013 and at the BSU John Glas Fieldhouse in 2011 and 2003.

Tickets for Keillor’s show will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, with reserved floor seats at $44 and regular reserved seats at $34.

Students will be able to reserve a seat for $15 with a valid ID.
