A storm system developing over Wyoming will lead to the possibility of accumulating snow Thursday into Friday, according to National Weather Service information.
The service estimates the greatest snowfall potential is across southwest and far south central parts of the state. One to four inches of snow may be possible along and south of Interstate 94 from Beach to Dickinson, with an embedded area of potentially four to eight inches of snow in locations such as Mott, Bowman and Hettinger Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
The consistency of the snow is likely to be wet and heavy, with north to northeast winds up to 30 mph.
