A popular former Grand Forks radio and television personality has died. Glen Olson spent most of his time in Grand Forks radio at KNOX in the 1960s. He was also sportscaster for WDAZ.
He later worked for radio stations in the twin cities. Olson was born in Devils Lake and grew up in Grand Forks. He died of cancer Monday at the age of 72. A funeral service is scheduled at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 pm. Friend and former KNOX coworker Jim Bohlman says whatever they did together at work, they had a good time doing it.
