WORTHINGTON, Minn. - Local police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that took place Friday evening.

The Worthington Police Department received a 911 call at 9:55 p.m. Friday from staff at Crossroads Care Center, reporting the firing of gunshots in a private room at the facility. Upon arriving at the private room, officers found George Droust, 87, sitting on a bed with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.
