DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- Detroit Lakes and Becker County law enforcement recovered the body of an adult man Friday in their search of an area of Little Detroit Lake, Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander said in a release.
According to Sheriff Glander, around 2 p.m. Detroit Lakes Police responded to a report of a man who had been missing for about one week. Information led officers to search the city beach near Detroit Lakes City Park. Property was found on the beach near the city's pavilion.
This led officers, including Becker County Sheriff's Boat and Water Patrol, to search an area of Little Detroit Lake. With the help of an investigator and a pilot, a body was located by plane and recovered.
The man's name is being withheld until family is notified. The body has been sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy.
