Police ceremony set for Friday

A ceremony honoring officers who have died in the line of duty will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the courtyard of the Grand Forks County Courthouse.

A ceremony honoring officers who have died in the line of duty will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the courtyard of the Grand Forks County Courthouse.

Sponsored by the Grand Forks Police Department and other area law enforcement agencies, the ceremony is part of National Peace Officers Memorial Week. The keynote speaker will be Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley, former U.S. Attorney for North Dakota.

The event is public and all are invited to attend.
