Seasons burglary: Grand Forks police say an undetermined amount of money was stolen from a safe in First Seasons Community Center sometime after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
First Seasons Community Center, located at 1110 7th Ave. S., is a large indoor playground that was developed by the Grand Forks Park District after the 1997 flood.
The burglary was reported today after 7:30 a.m., according to police. A suspect or suspects gained entrance into the building by breaking a window.
Home burglary: Police also are investigating a separate burglary that occurred late Tuesday or early Wednesday at a Grand Forks home.
Charges are pending against two unnamed suspects, who, according to police, burglarized the home at 607 N. Sixth St., sometime after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Homeowners reported the burglary to police Wednesday morning.

The suspects are believed to have entered the home by removing a window screen, police said. Numerous items, including a gun safe, DVDs, a guitar, a computer and a videogame were taken from the home. All items except the gun safe were recovered, Sgt. Kevin Kallinen said.

Man found guilty: A jury in Grand Forks District Court found a Grand Forks man guilty Wednesday of corruption or solicitation of a minor.
District Judge Joel Medd ordered a pre-sentence investigation for Cornell Scutchings, 31, in the Class C felony, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
Scutchings was ordered by Medd to have no contact with the victim, who, according to prosecutors, was a 12-year-old girl. The incident, in which prosecutors say Scutchings offered to perform oral sex on the girl, happened in March 2007.
Meredith Larson, assistant Grand Forks County state's attorney, prosecuted Scutchings during the two-day trial. Scutchings was defended by Daniel Borgen of Grand Forks.
