A Grand Forks man was arrested and charged with burglary and terrorizing after reportedly breaking into a neighbor's apartment, yelling at its occupants and throwing a bottle of wine Sunday.
Steven Jon Newark Jr., 33, faces felony burglary and terrorizing charges along with a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge for the incident, according to court documents filed Monday in Grand Forks District Court.
On Sunday, police were dispatched to an apartment on 36th Avenue South in Grand Forks for a report of a disorderly neighbor, accourt to court records.
The two people inside the apartment heard five or six loud knocks on the door before one of them saw a male in a green hoodie and jeans holding a bottle of wine walk into the apartment and kick the bedroom door open, records state.
The man hit a mirror next to the door with the wine bottle before walking to the foot of the bed and yelling at the two people, according to court records.

Police found two holes, a crack in the bedroom door with the door knob missing and a broken mirror, according to court records.
The two people in the apartment identified the man as a neighbor, and police were able to find Newark pulling into a garage.
Newark was arrested early Monday and made his first appearance Grand Forks District Court the same day.
The burglary charge, a Class B felony, carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and $20,000 fine.
Newark's next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 14.
