The Grand Forks Hot Shots won the seventh-grade boys division at the Spartan basketball tournament recently at Fargo North.
The Hot Shots defeated the Moorhead Bulldogs 51-42 in the final. Team members are Adam Leach, Matt Anderson, John Hoplin, Tate Bollingberg, Blake Kemnitz, David Olson, Mac Kroeplin and Chad Bartosh.
Glaciers take first
The Grand Forks Glaciers women's hockey team won the B division at the All-American tournament in Blaine, Minn., on Nov. 16-18.
Glaciers team members are Jane Meyer, Julie O'Halloran, Paula Hedlund, Jessica Bina, Tawny Hauser, Annie Larson, Sarah McDonald, Meaghan Nelson and Sarah Holbrook.
