Anne Jaeger, who was serving a second term as mayor of Plummer, Minn., died of a heart attack July 31 in her home. She was 76.
Her funeral was held Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, Minn.
In addition to mayoral duties, Jaeger served on the Plummer City Council and was treasurer for state Sen. LeRoy Stumpf for many years, according to her obituary.
She also belonged to the Red Hat Society, was president of the Plummer Senior Citizens Organization, a member of the Garden Club and part of the Rural Development Association, City Clerk Joseph Sharp said.
She is survived by 11 children, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Jaeger was a great asset to Plummer, a town with a population of about 270, Sharp said.
"She was a true community leader. A true professional, and she will be greatly missed," he said.
